What we do not do

This website uses no cookies, no tracking or analytics tools, and no external fonts or scripts.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger in Frankfurt, Germany. When you visit, the server temporarily records technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after a short period.

Contact and waiting list

If you email us, we process your address and message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete the data when it is no longer needed, or when you ask us to.

Waiting list. When you sign up for the waiting list on this site, your browser sends your email address and language setting (German or English) to our application at app.okapply.de. We store the address, the language, the source of the sign-up (e.g. “okapply”) and the time of sign-up and confirmation. We send you an email with a confirmation link. Your sign-up only counts after you click the link (double opt-in). Every email contains an unsubscribe link. We use the address only to notify you when OKApply and early access start, and we do not pass it on. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, via the unsubscribe link or by email to hello@okapply.de. We automatically delete unconfirmed sign-ups after 30 days and confirmed ones at the latest 12 months after confirmation. To protect against abuse we count sign-ups per connection; for this we store only a hash of the IP address, not the address itself, and delete it when the time window ends. The data is stored on a server at Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany. This server’s logs are deleted after 7 days, IP addresses in them are shortened, and backups are deleted after 7 days.

You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability. Write to us at the address above. You may also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
